Free Shopping List Online is a fast, private list maker that opens in any modern browser. There is nothing to install before you start and no account form between you and the list. Type an item such as "2 lb apples" or "milk," select Add, and the tool separates the quantity from the item name. Common products are placed into useful sections such as Produce, Dairy and Eggs, Bakery, Pantry, Household, and Hardware and Tools.
That automatic grouping turns a basic checklist into a practical store companion. Instead of walking from one end of the supermarket to the other several times, you can work through each aisle in order. If you prefer the order in which you entered things, switch from By category to My order. Unknown items are never blocked. They simply go into Other so you can keep moving.
Plan mode keeps editing controls close at hand while you build the list. You can maintain a main groceries list, add a separate party list, or create another named list for any errand. When you reach the store, switch to Shop mode. The screen separates items into To get and In cart, adds a progress bar, and makes each row easier to tap with one hand. Checked items move out of the way without disappearing, so you always know what is already in the trolley.
Your lists are saved in local browser storage on this device. They are not uploaded to an account or stored in a shopping database. The site also prepares itself for offline use after the first visit, which is helpful in large stores where mobile reception can be unreliable. Clearing this browser's site data will remove the saved lists, so use the Share option first if you want a portable backup.
Sharing is deliberately simple. The current list is encoded inside a link, and the dialog also creates a QR code that another phone can scan. A recipient gets an independent copy, not access to your browser. That means there is no live collaboration and no hidden server account. If your list changes later, create and send a fresh link. This approach keeps the tool static, quick, and easy to understand.
The built-in suggestions cover everyday food, drinks, cleaning supplies, personal care, and common hardware items. You can still add any text you want, so the same tool works for a holiday meal, a home project, school supplies, or a weekend away. Quantities remain visible beside each item, and lists can be rearranged by entry order whenever store categories do not fit the job.
Everything is designed to reduce friction. The page loads quickly, the interface works on phones and desktops, dark mode follows your system until you choose otherwise, and core actions remain reachable by keyboard. Start with the example list above, remove what you do not need, and add the items for your next trip.
